Two routes from camera to viewer
The team prepared a payload in Sulejówek that captured photographs and transmitted them by radio during the flight. Receivers across Poland could follow the changing view. Two cameras also recorded footage on board, with one looking down towards the ground and the other towards the horizon.
What the flight demonstrated
The tracker transmitted on 144.500 MHz. Analogue SSTV in Scottie 1 mode carried 320 × 256 pixel images; digital DSSTV using DRM carried 800 × 600 pixel photographs. The archive contains both radio-received images and material recovered from the payload. These are distinct ways of collecting mission imagery.
Recovery is part of the mission
The mission report records an altitude of 35 km and a straight-line displacement of approximately 120 km. The payload was located after descending under parachute. Robert SQ5RB, Andrzej SP5ABI, Krzysztof SQ5NWI, Tomasz SP5LOT, Jakub and Michał took part in the preparations.
